Chapter Vice President Paul Briggs served as master of ceremonies
at the annual Veterans Day wreath laying at the Tomb of General
George Washington at Mt. Vernon, which is co-sponsored by the
Kate Waller Barrett Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Emily Elston, vice president of the "Light Horse Harry" Lee Society
of the Children of the American Revolution, led the crowd in the
Pledge of Alliegance on Veteran's Day 2011 at
General Washington's Tomb, Mt. Vernon.
Currently serving U.S. Air Force lieutenant colonel and U.S. Army
sergeant major place the George Washington Chapter wreath
